Counting On stars Josiah Duggar and Lauren Swanson recently revealed that they suffered a heartbreaking miscarriage last fall, and now it looks like the newlyweds are turning to music to help them cope with their loss. The couple recently shared video clips on their Instagram story of themselves singing a duet at church, with Swanson singing lead and Duggar providing the perfect backup vocals.
According to In Touch Weekly, the young couple has appeared to be struggling a bit in recent months, but they have leaned on each other to get through the difficult time. In addition to singing together, they have also taken some trips and gushed about each other on social media.

They have definitely been keeping busy, and Swanson recently joined her new husband while he worked on his flying skills. Duggar has his pilot’s license, and Swanson posted selfies from the plane while he was getting in some flight practice.
But, the pain from the miscarriage is still there. The couple recently gave People magazine the details of their experience and revealed that it happened when they were preparing to attend a friend’s wedding.
“I wasn’t feeling well,” said 19-year-old Lauren as she broke down in tears. “I was cramping really, really bad, which was quite strange because I normally don’t. I was thinking maybe I had something that had gluten in it. It was late at night, and I went to use the restroom, and there was the baby. Gone. I couldn’t believe it, and I was hoping it wasn’t true.”
Just a little over one year ago the couple announced they were courting, and a few weeks later they broke the news to fans that they had gotten engaged. They married on June 30th at John Brown University Cathedral of the Ozarks in Siloam Springs, Arkansas.
At the time, Duggar said that he and his wife were happy and excited to start their lives together and he added that Swanson was someone who was “even better than I could have hoped for or imagined.”

The reality star also said that his wife brings “sunshine into the room and encourages everyone around her.” And, her ability to brighten someone’s day was something that really stood out to him.
