Early Life & Family of Robbie Bachman

In 1953, the Canadian city of Winnipeg gave birth to Robin Bachman. There is no information regarding his parents. We will try our best to update this section as soon as possible. Before Randy asked him to join Brave Belt, his new band with Chad Allan, with whom he had previously performed in the renowned Winnipeg rock band the Guess Who, Robbie played in a few bands in Winnipeg. Robbie and his brother both started playing music when they were young. Before changing their name to Bachman-Turner Overdrive in 1973 after Allan’s departure, Brave Belt released two albums in 1971 and 1972. There is no information available regarding his schooling and college life.

Career of Bachman

Bachman practised the drums at home as a child, frequently playing with his older brother Randy. Robbie accepted Randy’s invitation to play the drums for Brave Belt when he was 18 years old.  Chad Allan and Fred Turner were more Brave Belt members. After Allan left Brave Belt in 1972, Tim, another Bachman sibling, took his place. Robbie was credited with creating the BTO “gear” logo when Bachman-Turner Overdrive took over for Brave Belt in 1973.  Robbie co-wrote “Roll On down the Highway,” one of Bachman-Turner Overdrive’s biggest singles (with Fred Turner). After their tour in promotion of the 1979 record Rock n’ Roll Nights came to an end, he stayed with BTO until late 1979.

Bachman

Due to copyright concerns and Randy Bachman’s selection of Tim Bachman as the second guitarist rather than Blair Thornton, he rejected to join a revival of BTO in 1984. Later, Bachman re-joined BTO’s Not Fragile lineup for a reunion that lasted from 1988 to 1991. Randy Bachman quit the band in 1991, but the remaining members continued to perform with new guitarist Randy Murray until the end of 2004.

In 2009, Fred Turner & Randy Bachman got back together and started recording a new album. The album, titled “Bachman & Turner,” was released in September 2010 to go along with a world tour. To stop him and Turner from performing live under the moniker Bachman-Turner Overdrive, or BTO, Robin Bachman and Blair Thornton sued Randy Bachman.

Robbie Bachman’s Wife

Rob was married to his wife Chrissy. There is no information about his previous relationships and dating history. We don’t have any clue about his children or private life.
